Excitement Surrounds Leopard Sightings During Eco Tourism Tour

Udaipur – As part of the Eco Destination Tour organized by the Forest Department, residents of Udaipur explored Ranakpur and the Jawai Leopard Conservation Reserve. A total of 32 participants experienced the thrill of nature on this eco-tour.

**Ranakpur Dam and Spiritual Exploration:**
Deputy Forest Conservator Devendra Kumar Tiwari shared that the weekly tour commenced at 7:30 AM from the forest headquarters. The travelers arrived at Ranakpur in an air-conditioned vehicle. Thanks to recent rains, the breathtaking view of the filled Ranakpur Dam captivated the hearts of Udaipur’s residents. After a spiritual visit to the Ranakpur Jain Temple, the group proceeded to the Jawai Dam in Pali district. The vast expanse of the Jawai Dam and its natural beauty resembled that of an ocean.

**Leopard Tracks and Eagle Owl Sightings:**
Wildlife experts Sharad Agarwal and Kanishk Kothari showcased the tracks of a female leopard and hyena near the Ranakpur Dam, igniting excitement among the group. They were equally thrilled to spot a majestic eagle owl on the hills of Sena village.

**Thrill of Hearing Leopards in Sena:**
Leaving the Jawai Dam behind, the group arrived at Sena village, where they enjoyed an adventurous hill ride in open jeeps. As dusk approached, they headed towards the hills known for leopard caves. Everyone's eyes scanned the landscape eagerly for a glimpse of the elusive leopard. Each time news of a leopard's presence circulated, excitement surged through the group. With binoculars in hand, they searched the towering granite hills, reminiscent of Radha searching for Krishna. Some members even spotted leopards and their cubs, and the breathtaking sunset over the lush, green hills left them mesmerized.

**Next Tour to Sitamata and Phoolwari Ki Naal Wildlife Sanctuaries:**
Deputy Forest Conservator Tiwari announced that the next eco destination tour will be to the Sitamata Wildlife Sanctuary and Phoolwari Ki Naal Sanctuary. Wildlife enthusiasts interested in joining can contact the designated mobile number, 8769799989, provided by the department.
