Key Tribal Representatives from Rajasthan Meet Central Tribal Affairs Minister

Udaipur:  During their visit to New Delhi, a delegation from Rajasthan, led by Tribal Area Development Minister Babulal Kharadi, met with Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram to discuss the effective implementation of various welfare schemes for tribal communities, along with constitutional issues related to Rajasthan. The delegation included Lok Sabha MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat, Revenue Minister Hemant Meena, and Udaipur Rural MLA Phoolsingh Meena.

The delegation, under the leadership of Minister Kharadi, engaged in detailed discussions about the development of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, as well as other marginalized communities in Rajasthan. They provided Minister Oram with insights into the geographical and socio-economic background of Rajasthan's tribal areas, discussing key topics such as the effective implementation of the Prime Minister’s Adarsh Gram Yojana, the Forest Rights Recognition Act, education-related issues, and developmental works like anicuts, check dams, and road construction aimed at enhancing rural areas.

### Gratitude for PM's Tribal Development Initiative

The Rajasthan delegation expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for launching the Prime Minister’s Tribal Advanced Village Campaign, aimed at realizing the vision of developed India in tribal regions as announced in the central budget. They emphasized that this initiative would effectively improve the social and economic status of tribal communities, serving as a foundation for their upliftment through sustainable development, infrastructure, and enhanced access to livelihoods and services.

### New Proposals from MP Dr. Rawat

During the meeting, MP Dr. Rawat proposed special central grants under Article 275(1) of the Constitution to train 100 youths in all-India services and folk arts, as well as to empower 1,000 tribal women to become financially independent through self-employment in the Udaipur constituency.

### Meetings with Other Officials

In addition to their meeting with Minister Oram, the delegation also met with Union Tribal Affairs Minister of State Durgadas Uike and National Chairperson of the Scheduled Tribes Commission, Antar Singh Arya, to discuss various issues related to tribal regional development.
