### Inaugural Orientation Program Welcomes Freshers at Sangam University
**Bhilwara**: The Faculty of Applied and Health Sciences at Sangam University organized the inaugural orientation program for first-year students in Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Health Assistant, Agriculture, and Research departments under the banner of "Diksharambh 2024." The event was marked by a warm welcome to the new students and was held with much enthusiasm.
The program commenced with the reception of new students and a university song, led by Professor Vinesh Agarwal. The opening address was delivered by the University Secretary, Professor Rajiv Mehta, who extended a heartfelt welcome to all newcomers. He emphasized that with hard work and dedication, students could fulfill their dreams in the coming years. He also provided insights into the university's history and various activities that take place within the institution.
Dr. Amit Jain, the Deputy Director of Marketing, presented each new student with the university's symbolic items, including T-shirts and bags, to instill a sense of belonging among them.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Karunesh Saxena, took the stage next to introduce the faculty and staff of the university. He shared motivational anecdotes and practical examples, highlighting the importance of perseverance and commitment in achieving success. His motivational address captivated the packed auditorium, inspiring students to embrace leadership qualities and understand their roles in both academic and personal growth.
The second segment of the program featured vibrant performances by senior students, showcasing their talents in a lively cultural presentation that further elevated the atmosphere.
The event also saw the participation of esteemed guests, including Pradeep Acharya, Nursing Superintendent of Mahatma Gandhi Hospital; Pawan Vyas, President of the Bhilwara Chemist Association; Hardik Srivastava, Director of Bio Energy Bio Fuels Private Limited; and Dr. Hanuman Prajapat from the Pharmacy department alumni. They shared their insights and encouraged the freshers to pursue their academic journeys with enthusiasm.
Professor VC, Professor Manas Ranjan Panigrahi, took the opportunity to explain the university's other activities and academic regulations, ensuring that students are well-informed about the guidelines they need to follow.
As part of the event, NSS volunteers performed a play in celebration of NSS Establishment Day, highlighting the spirit of social service and community engagement that the university promotes.
The program concluded with expressions of gratitude from Professor SP Taylor and Dr. Praveen Soni, who thanked all attendees for their participation. The organizing committee members, including Dr. Praveen Soni, Dr. Ritu Rathore, Dr. Anurag Sharma, Dr. Amit Jain, and Dr. Shweta Bohra, shared insights about the orientation agenda and ensured everything ran smoothly.
The event was attended by a range of participants, including faculty, deans, heads of departments, NCC, NSS students, and the freshers themselves. The program was expertly conducted by student Nandini Tibberwal, adding a personal touch to the proceedings.
This orientation program not only welcomed the new students but also laid the foundation for their journey at Sangam University, equipping them with the motivation and information necessary to succeed in their academic endeavors.
