Patients to Receive Better Medical Facilities in Line with State Government’s Intent

Shri Ganganagar—Bikaner Divisional Commissioner, Mrs. Vandana Singhvi, inspected the Government District Hospital on Friday morning. During her visit, she closely observed various wards, including the de-addiction, Ramashray, and gynecology wards, while gathering feedback from patients about the medical facilities provided to them. Following the inspection, she instructed hospital officials to ensure that patients receive better medical care in accordance with the state government’s intent.

Upon arriving at the hospital, the Divisional Commissioner inspected the OPD block. Noticing a crowd, she directed the establishment of an additional counter to manage the situation. She also spoke with patients outside the medication distribution center to gather information about their medical experiences. She urged officials to increase the number of medication distribution centers.

Subsequently, she inspected various wards, including X-ray, ECG, ENT, TB, surgical, and orthopedic, engaging with patients to inquire about the quality of treatment. She asked if there were any charges for treatment and whether doctors were providing timely care. Patients reported that the medical facilities were good, there were no charges for treatment, and the staff was providing quality care.

During her inspection of the de-addiction and Ramashray wards, the Divisional Commissioner conversed with patients to gather information about the available facilities. She emphasized the need to encourage individuals overcoming addiction to receive training through social organizations, facilitating their entry into employment. She also suggested integrating them into sports activities to help them avoid substance abuse.

While inspecting the MCH ward, she interacted with female patients and observed the gynecology ward and MCH ICU. Throughout her visit, she also engaged with the hospital staff.

Afterward, she directed hospital officials to ensure that patients receive better facilities in line with the state government’s goals. She insisted that bed linens be changed daily, cleanliness be maintained regularly, and resources be utilized efficiently to prevent any inconvenience for patients receiving treatment. Patients coming to the hospital should have access to proper medication and testing services. Acting PMO Dr. Baldev Singh informed the Divisional Commissioner that, under the guidance of the District Collector, the hospital administration is providing adequate medical services to patients. The ADM Administration, Shri Subhash Kumar, along with other medical officers and personnel, were also present during the inspection.
