Udaipur, The West Zone Cultural Centre Udaipur will host the Malhaar Festival of classical music and dance on August 24 and 25, 2024, at Darpan Sabhagar, Shilpgram. Celebrating the joy of the monsoon, this annual festival has become quite popular over the years. The chief guest will be Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator, Mr. Gulabchand Kataria.
On August 24, at 7 PM, Dr. Ashwin M. Dalvi will perform, followed by a Kathak dance by the Harish Gangani troupe. On August 25, flute performance by Chetan Joshi and a dance presentation by Padma Shri Ranjana Gauhar's troupe will be featured.
The Malhaar Festival offers a unique opportunity for art enthusiasts in Udaipur and surrounding areas to enjoy and experience various classical dance forms of India. The event will be held at Darpan Sabhagar, starting at 7 PM each day, and entry is free.
