Celebration of GST Day: Key to National Development - MLA Tarachand Jain
Udaipur. The Commercial Tax Department organized a GST Day event at the Legend Hotel. The program, graced by the chief guest, Udaipur City MLA Tarachand Jain, saw participation from various trade organizations, tax bar representatives, and taxpayers.
Chief guest MLA Jain emphasized that GST revenue collection is a key element in the nation's development. He described the GST tax system as an integrated and balanced system, noting that various amendments and provisions provide timely relief to taxpayers, enhancing tax compliance. He highlighted that with efficient systems and excellent management, India is setting new benchmarks in GST revenue generation.
Additional Commissioner (Administration) Manish Bakshi discussed the objectives of the program and the journey of GST from 2017 to the present, including amendments in the Act and rules during this period.
Keynote speaker Yashwant Mangal elaborated on the important provisions of GST and the latest changes. Distinguished guest Shambhu Hiran suggested simplifying the tax system. Manish Galundia and CGST Assistant Commissioner R.K. Gupta provided insights into GST system management and its impact on taxpayers.
Additional Commissioner (Appellate Authority) Mrs. Neetu Bhardwaj attributed the success of GST to the cooperation of various stakeholders. Joint Commissioner Ravindra Jain shared information about the department's activities related to regular dialogue with trade organizations. The event was conducted by Assistant Commissioner Anuj Bhatnagar. In celebration of GST Day, the Commercial Tax Department also organized a tree plantation program at the Tax Building office in the morning.
