74th Foundation Day Celebration of Udaipur Tax Bar Association and Charitable Society
Tribunal to be Established in December for Resolving Appeals Due to GST Discrepancies
Udaipur: The 74th foundation day of the Udaipur Tax Bar Association and Udaipur Tax Bar Charitable Society was celebrated at Shubh Kesar Garden, 100 Feet Road, Shobhagpura.
On this occasion, the chief guest, CA Sureshchandra Ajmera, shared the glorious history of the organization. Members who completed 50 and 25 years in the institution were honored with mementos. At the conference organized during the event, CA Shailendra Saxena from Baroda spoke on GST, emphasizing that taxpayers should regularly monitor the GST portal to comply with notices promptly. Due to discrepancies in the GST law, the government is establishing a tribunal by December to resolve the large number of pending appeals. He also discussed the proposed amendments in the 53rd meeting of the GST Council. The conference was chaired by Advocate Sunil Agarwal.
In the session on income tax, chaired by CA V.S. Nahar, the keynote speaker from Jaipur, CA Sandeep Jhanwar, addressed the topic of penalties and prosecutions under the Act. He stated that minor errors and good faith would not attract penalties and that it is essential for taxpayers to understand penalty provisions before tax provisions.
On this occasion, the organization's president, CA C.A.S. Nainawati, welcomed the invited guests, keynote speakers, and members. The stage was conducted by CA Mahesh Menaria.
The president of the Charitable Society, Advocate Ashok Jain, presented plants to all members as part of the Green Revolution initiative. Finally, a vote of thanks was given by CA Hatim Ali Kankaroliwala. Members present at the event included Advocate Ashish Ratnawat, CA Shailesh Maheshwari, Advocate Satish Jain, CA Chandraprakash Baldi, CS D.S. Babel, CA Rakesh Mehta, CA Gaurav Vyas, and other members.
