Clean-Up of Lake Pichola and Swaroop Sagar on World Environment Day

Udaipur: On the occasion of World Environment Day, a joint initiative by the Regional Office of Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) Udaipur, and the National Environmental and Mineral Conservation Forum, along with support from the Hotel Association and industrial institutions, led to a clean-up of Lake Pichola and Swaroop Sagar.

Regional Officer Sharad Saxena reported that an e-boat rally was also organized, featuring participation from students of St. Anthony School. Additionally, a blood donation camp was held at the regional office of RSPCB in collaboration with Lok Mitra Institute, with hotels and industrial institutions contributing to the blood donations. Pacific Hospital Umarda assisted by providing spirometry tests for the lungs of industrial workers. On this occasion, Tulsi plants, seed balls, and water troughs were distributed. RSPCB Udaipur also conducted free vehicle pollution checks at three locations in the city: Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary, Fatehsagar, and the regional office.

At the Dehli Gate office, traffic police officers underwent free lung spirometry tests conducted by GBH American Hospital. 

**Tree Planting by Police Officials**
Saxena noted that a tree planting ceremony was held at the police line campus, inaugurated by Inspector General of Police Ajaypal Lamba, Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal, Chittorgarh SP Sudhir Joshi, Rajsamand SP Manish Tripathi, Additional SP Gopal Swaroop Mewara, and other police officials, along with RSPCB Udaipur Regional Officer Sharad Saxena, National Environmental and Mineral Conservation Forum President Lakshminarayan Ameta, and Kishore Kothari. This tree planting campaign will continue through the monsoon season.

**Superintending Scientific Officer Honored by Chief Minister**
Sharad Saxena announced that during the World Environment Day celebration in Jaipur, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma honored Mrs. Payal Pancholi, Superintending Scientific Officer of the Regional Office Laboratory, for her exceptional work in obtaining NABL certification for the laboratory.
