International Conference on "Emerging Trends in Chemical Sciences for Sustainable Development
Udaipur, Bhupal Nobles University and Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth jointly organized a two-day international conference on "Emerging Trends in Chemical Sciences for Sustainable Development." The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp before the Goddess Saraswati. Conference Chairperson Dr. Renu Rathore welcomed all the guests and shed light on the conference theme.
In the inaugural session on the first day, Chief Guest Prof. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of MBM University, Jodhpur, addressed the audience. He expressed serious concern about the environmental and human health damage caused by waste from chemical industries, textile mills, and other agencies. Prof. Sharma urged everyone to deliberate on this environmental issue and present appropriate solutions.
Organizing Secretary and Head of Department Dr. Narendra Singh Chundawat from Bhupal Nobles University and Dr. Jay Singh Jodha from Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth detailed the conference's comprehensive plan. Esteemed guest Prof. Anamik Shah, former Vice-Chancellor of Gujarat Vidyapeeth, Ahmedabad, discussed green chemistry, conventional chemistry, types of hydrogen, sustainable energy, and more.
Dr. Satish Chandra Tiwari, former Director of Process Chemistry at ROTAM Agrochemical, Hong Kong, shared his views on the "Development of Sustainable Chemical Technology." Dr. Alessandra Basso, Global Direct Sales and Marketing Life Science, China, highlighted the "Industrial Application of Immobilized Enzymes in Food, Pharma, and Fine Chemistry."
Prof. Balwant Rai Jani, Chancellor of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, emphasized creating an educational environment enriched with Indian culture, tradition, values, philosophy, and religion. Conference Patron Dr. Mahendra Singh Rathore stressed the importance of finding solutions to pollution for the sake of humanity and sustainable development.
Chief Patrons Prof. Colonel Shiv Singh Sarangdevi and Co-Patron Mohabbat Singh Rathore extended their best wishes for the conference's successful execution and the bright future of the researchers. Conference coordinators Dr. Girdharpal Singh and Dr. Mangalshree Dulawat reported that 35 research papers were presented on the first day. The conference, held in hybrid mode, included five technical sessions in both offline and online formats, and a souvenir was released.
Deans of PG Studies, Dr. Prem Singh Rawalot, and all faculty members were present, along with the Deans, Associate Deans, and members of the Vidya Pracharini Executive Committee. Conference Director Dr. Ritu Tomar expressed gratitude to all attendees. In paper presentations, Ruchika Sharma secured the first position, followed by Jhala Pushparaj Singh in second and Vijay Babel in third. In poster presentations, Siddhima Sharma won first place, followed by Sushil Kumar Sharma in second and Shiv Prakash Vaishnav in third. The conference was conducted by Dr. Praveena Rathore, Dr. Tanvi Agrawal, and Dr. Reena Mehta.
