Free Health Camp Held at Collectorate on World Hypertension Day*
251 Government Employees Benefited from Health Check-Up*
Bhilwara, A free health camp was organized by the district administration and the health department on Friday to mark World Hypertension Day. The camp was inaugurated by District Collector Shri Namit Mehta. The health camp offered checks for blood pressure, blood sugar, lipid profile, and ECG. District Collector Shri Namit Mehta also got his sugar and BP checked. He emphasized the importance of being vigilant about one's health and getting routine check-ups to prevent hypertension-related health issues. Superintendent of MG Hospital Dr. Arun Gaur, CMHO Dr. CP Goswami, and the medical team were present at the camp.
During the event, government officials and employees were informed about the causes, risk factors, and management of high blood pressure, and non-communicable diseases were screened. Chief Medical and Health Officer CP Goswami stated that all tests were conducted free of charge, and appropriate consultation and medications were also provided without cost.
**251 Employees Underwent Health Check-Ups**
In this camp, a total of 251 employees underwent health check-ups. BMI checks were conducted for all, revealing 57 employees as overweight, 35 as underweight, and 149 with normal BMI. Blood pressure checks were conducted for 250 employees, with 76 found to have high blood pressure and provided with necessary medications. ECG tests were conducted for 75 employees, with 2 showing abnormal results. Additionally, sugar levels were tested for all 251 employees, and lipid profiles and other necessary tests were done for 101 employees. Vinod Kumar Gokharu, District President of Rajasthan Revenue Ministerial Employees Union, expressed gratitude for organizing the health camp.
**306 Patients Screened at MG Hospital**
An awareness campaign was also conducted at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Bhilwara on the occasion of World Hypertension Day. BP and sugar levels of 306 patients were checked, with 25 patients found to have high sugar levels, 61 with high BP, and 25 diagnosed with diabetes and hypertension.
