Grand Procession Celebrating the Birth Anniversary of Lord Parashurama

udaipur: On Friday, a grand procession was organized in the city by the Brahmin Foundation Udaipur and the Lord Shri Parashurama Sarva Brahmin Society Udaipur to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Parashurama. The procession, amidst chants of victory for Lord Parashurama and a ceremonial water pouring by Lord Indra, saw the participation of over fifty Brahmin organizations' activists from across the city and rural areas.


Before the procession commenced, Lord Indra ceremonially poured water over Lord Parashurama. The excellent weather further heightened the enthusiasm of the participants.

 

The proce

ssion began at half-past five in the evening from Fatheh School Surajpol. It passed through various landmarks including Surajpol Chowk, Asthal Temple, Jheeniret, Dhanmandi, Santoshi Mata Temple, Dehligate, Bapu Bazaar, and returned to Fatheh School where a religious assembly was organized. Leading the procession were Brahmin community members riding horses, followed by others on bullock carts. Numerous bands and DJ groups played music as youth and women's groups danced along the route. The Menaria community performed traditional dances at intersections.

During the procession, the Kanchan Seva Sansthan displayed a large mace, while effigies of Lord Parashurama, Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi, and Lord Shri Rama of Ayodhya were also part of the parade. Various Brahmin organizations showcased their banners, including Menaria Brahmin Society, Maru Odichi Brahmin Society, Nagda Brahmin Society, All India Brahmin Council, Ward 40 Brahmin Executive, among others.

Dignitaries present at the event included Dharm Narayan Joshi, National Protector of the Brahmin Foundation; KK Sharma, State President of the Foundation; Ravindra Shrimali, BJP City District President; Harish Arya, State Secretary; Narendra Paliwal, State President of the Youth Wing; HR Dave, Girish Sharma, Aditya Pandey, Shyam Sundar Mode, Tribhuvan Vyasa, Harish Chaubisa, and Premshankar Upadhyay, among others.

The event also witnessed significant participation from women, including Kusum Sharma, State Protector of the Women's Wing, along with Sangita Vyasa, Rekha Paliwal, Bhavna Mode, Archana Sharma, Bhavna Vyasa, Tara Mode, and Manju Tiwari, among others.

The procession culminated with a religious assembly at Fatheh School around 8 o'clock in the evening, where leaders emphasized Brahmin unity.
