In a significant move aimed at promoting physical and mental development among children, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated a plan to hire Yoga and Sports teachers in 402 PM Shri schools across Rajasthan. Each school will witness the appointment of one Yoga and one Sports teacher, fostering not only physical well-being but also instilling mutual harmony and team spirit through sports.
This initiative, backed by the Prime Minister's vision to boost sports, received a budgetary allocation of ₹402 lakhs from the state government. The 22 PM Shri schools in Udaipur are also included in this ambitious plan.
To be eligible for application, candidates aspiring for the role of a Sports Teacher should possess a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from a recognized university and have one year of experience in the relevant field. Similarly, candidates applying for the position of Yoga Teacher must hold a degree or diploma from a recognized university and have one year of experience as a Yoga trainer.
In adherence to the state government's regulations, participants must be between the ages of 21 and 40 years to qualify for selection. The initiative is set to contribute significantly to the overall development of students in Rajasthan by integrating sports and yoga into their educational curriculum.
