In Udaipur, a spectacular temple dedicated to Goddess Vaishno Devi, inspired by the Trikut Peak, is set to be inaugurated on March 3rd. Located 17 kilometers from Udaipur on the Nathdwara Road, this architectural masterpiece stands as the largest temple in Rajasthan, sprawling across a vast complex of approximately 4 lakh square feet, with the main temple reaching a majestic height of around 3 lakh feet.

Unique Features Showcasing Vaishno Devi's Glory

Constructed by the Shri Meera Kishan Darbar Trust, the temple aims to provide devotees with a unique and immersive experience. Unprecedented in Rajasthan, this temple will showcase the complete form of the Vaishno Devi Temple located in Jammu, allowing worshippers to witness the entire structure in all its glory. Pilgrims will have the opportunity to view the deity in the form of a Pindi (a sacred stone) within the temple.

Commencing the Grand Inauguration on March 3rd

The formal inauguration of the Vaishno Devi Temple is scheduled for March 3rd, graced by the presence of Meera Devi Khatri and Kishanlal Khatri of the Darbar. A grand procession is planned in the city on the preceding day, commencing at 10 AM from Jagdish Temple and traversing through prominent landmarks before culminating at the temple.

Cave-Like Structures and Sacred Installations

Emulating the renowned Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu, the Udaipur temple features two caves: a 311-foot-long cave for youth and a 251-foot-long cave for the elderly. Devotees will experience a symbolic journey through these caves, reminiscent of the sacred Yatra in Trikut Parvat. The temple complex also houses a 51-foot Trishul (trident) and a Bhairu Nath temple, along with installations of 12 Jyotirlingas and nine goddess statues.

Skilled Artisans and Illuminated Sanctity

Artisans from Bengal, Indore, and Jaipur played a crucial role in crafting the temple from white marble, showcasing their exceptional skills. The temple boasts special LED lights strategically placed for illuminating the sanctum during rituals and ceremonies, ensuring a divine ambiance.

Realizing a Dream of Devotion

According to devotee Pratapray Chug, the Shri Ram Kishan Darbar Trust harbored a dream to construct this majestic temple in devotion to Mata Vaishno Devi. The vision was to provide an alternative for those unable to undertake the pilgrimage to Jammu, enabling them to seek the blessings of the deity in Udaipur.

Communal Feast, Cultural Amenities, and Spiritual Ambiance

The temple complex includes a grand kitchen designed to serve a daily communal feast from 9 AM to 9 PM, catering to thousands of visitors. The kitchen will prepare organic meals without onions, garlic, and with the use of ghee. Additionally, two 7D cinemas have been established within the premises for devotees to watch a film on Goddess Vaishno Devi, featuring actress Hemamalini.

Holistic Facilities and Cultural Reverence

Besides the main temple, the complex features facilities such as a meditation center, library, and cow shelter, enhancing the spiritual experience for worshippers. The grand inauguration on March 3rd is anticipated to mark the beginning of a new era for the devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi in Udaipur, offering them a divine haven that mirrors the sanctity and grandeur of the sacred Trikut Peak.
