Padma Shri Raghuvir Singh Sirohi Honored with Literary Gem "Sahitya Chudamani"

Udaipur - On Tuesday, in a ceremony held at Kesar Vilas Sirohi Palace, Maharawat Padma Shri Raghuvir Singh Sirohi was adorned with the prestigious "Sahitya Chudamani" in recognition of his continuous literary contributions that have significantly contributed to the progress of society and human values. The award ceremony included accolades, a citation, a memento, and a shawl. Speaking at the event, Colonel Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot, Vice-Chancellor of JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be-University), emphasized the importance of literary figures in reflecting the true image of society through their works.

The literary honor of "Sahitya Chudamani" has previously been conferred upon notable personalities like Dr. Karn Singh Kashmiri, Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Narendra Bhai Dave, Sohan Lal Dwivedi, Moti Lal Menaria, and others. Prof. Sarangdevot praised the literary figure for consistently portraying the real picture of society in his writings.

Raghuvir Singh Sirohi, at the age of 81, expressed his gratitude for the honor and stated that it is a matter of pride for him and his royal family. He acknowledged the role of institutions like JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth in providing education to the underprivileged and spreading Hindi language and literature. He stressed that such institutions deserve special recognition for their significant contributions to society.

The Sirohi dynasty, established in 1260 AD, has been dedicated to the service of the nation. Maharawat Raghuvir Singh Sirohi highlighted the importance of truth in literature, stating that literature should have the power to impact the reader's soul. He urged contemporary writers to address the current issues of India in their creations.

Receiving the "Sahitya Chudamani" award, Maharawat Raghuvir Singh Sirohi emphasized that Hindi language is an invaluable heritage, and writers have a responsibility to preserve it. He called for a campaign to make Hindi a language of employment and safeguard it against the allure of foreign languages. In his concluding remarks, he asserted that language is our identity, and it must be preserved.

The event was attended by Maharaj Kumar Indreshwar Singh Sirohi, Bharat Banu Singh Deora, Shivdan Singh Deora, Dulhesingh, Shoorveer Singh, Gopal Singh Titaradi, Durgasingh, Balvant Singh, Kishan Singh, Bherulal Vyas, and Private Secretary Krishna Kant Kumawat, along with other distinguished citizens of the city.
