The two-day bird identification workshop organized by the Forest Department, WWF India, and Green People Society concluded recently, as informed by Arun Kumar D., the Wildlife Conservator. On the second day of the workshop, 47 participants engaged in a field visit at the Jungle Safari Park. Renowned bird specialists, including Dr. Satish Sharma, Vinay Dave, and retired Wildlife Conservation Officer Pratap Singh Chundawat, provided guidance and detailed information on various bird species.
Chief Wildlife Conservator Rajkumar Jain, presiding over the program, highlighted the significance behind organizing this workshop during the 10th Udaipur Bird Festival. He emphasized the importance of providing a platform for learning and encouraging more people to join the cause.
Sugna Ram Jat, Udaipur Wildlife Conservator, expressed that such workshops would offer city residents an excellent opportunity to connect with events like the Bird Festival and other programs. He anticipated increased awareness and stronger commitment to bird conservation among participants.
Arun Soni, the WWF India regional officer, took charge of conducting the two-day bird identification workshop. The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and enhance the participants' understanding of bird species for better wildlife conservation.
