Pensioners Society's Annual Celebration on December 31
235 Pensioners to be Honored, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to be Chief Guest
Kota: The Rajasthan Pensioners Society's Kota district unit is organizing its annual celebration at Shiv Jyoti Convent School on December 31, where 235 pensioners will be honored. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is set to be the chief guest at the event, with newly elected MLA of the district joining as distinguished guests.
Ramesh Chandra Gupta, the President of the Pensioners Society, mentioned that the event will felicitate 170 pensioners who have completed 80 years of age, including Prabhu Lal Sharma, who turns 100. Additionally, 65 individuals excelling in various fields and services will also be acknowledged. The ceremony has formed 12 committees to ensure its smooth execution. Among the 22,000 pensioners in the district, 11,000 are registered members of the Pensioners Society, and around 4,000 members are expected to participate in the event.
In the executive committee meeting held at the Pensioners Bhavan to discuss and plan the event, the members provided valuable suggestions. Secretary R.P. Gupta announced the publication of a calendar and useful guide during the occasion. Hari Sudan Sharma and other officials urged everyone to be punctual and contribute to making the program successful. It was highlighted that representatives from each district and tehsil of Rajasthan are coming to participate in the program.
