Key Decisions Taken in the First Meeting of the Osawal Sabha Executive Committee

Udaipur: The newly elected members of the Executive Committee of the Osawal Sabha convened their first meeting under the chairmanship of newly elected President Prakashchandra Kothari at the Osawal Bhavan. During the meeting, Koshadhikshak Fatehsingh Mehta recited the Navkar Mantra.

Kothari informed that the meeting included discussions on various significant decisions. Firstly, the membership campaign for the Osawal Sabha, which started on October 27th, involves the formation of a coordinator panel for membership under Dr. Lalit Murdia. The panel will coordinate the entire campaign, and 50 elected members were appointed as coordinators. New families residing in Udaipur city for the past five years can enroll for a membership fee of INR 5100 along with their Aadhar cards.

No additional charges will be levied for adding the names of remaining family members as it was done previously. Anshul Mogara was appointed as the coordinator for constitutional amendments and will establish a committee to study and recommend necessary changes within one month.

A decision was also made to expedite the process of obtaining the allocated land from the Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) and to write letters for the allocation of the entire 1.25 lakh square feet of land previously allotted. An unanimous decision was reached on these matters.

The oath-taking ceremony for the new Executive Committee members will be conducted after Diwali under the guidance of His Excellency the Governor of Assam, Gulabchand Kataria. A reunion event for all Osawal Sabha members will also be organized.

Dr. Shrimati Pramila Jain was named the editor of the quarterly bulletin, and the first issue will be published before Diwali. For the expansion of the Executive Committee, advisors, co-opted members, and heads of different groups such as the Youth Forum, Women's Division, Senior Citizens Division, Intellectuals Division, Professionals Division, Media Division, and more, were appointed with Prakashchandra Kothari as the coordinator.

A decision was taken to organize a free medical check-up camp, and Devendra Bhanavat and all female members were appointed as coordinators for this event. A website will be developed to enhance the functioning of the Osawal Sabha, which will include matrimonial data, business-related data, member advertisements, online bookings, as well as a presence on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Dr. Shrimati Neeta Mehta was named the coordinator for this initiative.

The Osawal Bhavan will be renovated to facilitate the permanent office of the Executive Committee and also to house a computer operator full time. An amount of INR 2 lakh, along with an additional INR 1 lakh for a computer, printer, and internet connection, was approved for these renovations.

All committees will have the authority to appoint coordinators at their level for their specific tasks. The approval of all these committees was given at the Executive Committee meeting. All present members pledged not to prepare more than 31 dishes at family events or weddings. The approval of all these committees was granted during the Executive Committee meeting.

Minister Anandilal Bamboria welcomed all the members, and Vice President Dr. Tuktak Bhanavat expressed his gratitude. The meeting concluded with the national anthem.
