335 Pilgrims from Udaipur Division Embark on Journey to Jagannath Puri

Udaipur: As part of the Chief Minister's Budget Announcement, the Senior Citizens' Pilgrimage Program, organized by the Department of Devasthan, set off for Jagannath Puri by train on Friday. This pilgrimage includes 335 travelers from the Udaipur division.

Assistant Commissioner of Devasthan Department, Udaipur, Jatin Kumar Gandhi, informed that a special train departed from Dungarpur and reached Rana Pratap Nagar Station in Udaipur at 1 PM. A total of 465 pilgrims boarded the train, with 335 from Udaipur division and 130 from Jodhpur division. Among the passengers, there were 207 from Udaipur district, 72 from Chittorgarh, 31 from Rajsamand, 25 from Pratapgarh, 45 from Barmer, 51 from Jalore, 32 from Sirohi, and 2 from Jodhpur district.

The train is scheduled to reach Jagannath Puri on September 24 and return to Udaipur on September 27. Gandhi mentioned that two government officials have been appointed in each coach to assist the pilgrims, and one senior officer has been designated as the overall in-charge for the entire train. Additionally, one doctor and two nursing staff are available on the train for health check-ups.

Gandhi further stated that the next train from the Udaipur division will depart for Vaishno Devi from Chittorgarh on September 29. Officials from the Devasthan Department, Udaipur, including Inspector Sunil Meena and staff, were present at the railway station to issue tickets to the travelers and facilitate other necessary arrangements.
