Chartered Accountants: Strong Pillars of India's Economic Progress - C.P. Joshi
Udaipur: The 75th Foundation Day celebration of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India was held today at the ICAI building in Sector 14. The chief guest for the event was C.P. Joshi, the Member of Legislative Assembly from Chittorgarh and the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state. The distinguished guest was Phool Singh Meena, the rural legislator from Udaipur.
Branch President C.A. Abhishek Sancheti delivered the welcome address. The chief guest, C.P. Joshi, congratulated all the chartered accountants in the country and abroad on Chartered Accountants Day. He emphasized the significant contribution of chartered accountants in successfully running the country's economy. The role of CAs is crucial in implementing Goods and Services Tax (GST), income tax, and other tax collections.
On completing 50 years in the CA profession, C.A. Vinod Chandra Vyasa, C.A. Om Prakash Chapalot, C.A. Suresh Chandra Porwal, and on completing 25 years, special honors were bestowed upon 25 chartered accountants, including C.A. Rajesh Suhalka, C.A. Kartavya Shukla, C.A. Prashant Sharma, C.A. Sandeep Shrimalli, C.A. Mahendra Kumar Pokharna, C.A. Mahendra Chhajer, C.A. Shyamlal Sisodiya, C.A. Pankaj Kothari, C.A. Rahul Puri, C.A. Sangita Bordia, C.A. Arun Sarupria, C.A. Rakesh Porwal, C.A. Vivek Agarwal, C.A. Piyush Mishra, C.A. Arvind Kumar Bapna, C.A. Anand Rathi, C.A. Prakash Dhanawat, C.A. Nakshatra Lal Kothari, C.A. Rajendra Mathur, C.A. Sandeep Prakash Kunawat, C.A. Sajid Hussain, C.A. Ajay Sariya, C.A. Pradhuman Jain, and C.A. Tarun Jain.
On this occasion, notable organizations were honoured for their social service, including Tushar Mehta and Rotary Club for blood donation camps, JSGI, Umang Elite, Maheshwari Panchayat, and Company Secretary. A special tribute was paid to the A.U. Bank. A blood donation camp was organized on the 75th CA Day, in which 81 blood donors participated, including women. Ravindra Shrimalli, BJP District President, Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi, and 300 chartered accountants were present at the event.
The program commenced with the hoisting of the flag at the branch office. In the second session, Professor Ashok Benarji, Director of IIM Udaipur, shared his thoughts on the role of CAs in the changing environment.
Present at the program were C.A. Ronak Jain (Vice Chairman of the branch), C.A. Rahul Maheshwari (Secretary), and Executive Committee members C.A. Pratibha Jain, C.A. Shailendra Kunawat, C.A. Hitesh Bhadada, C.A. Chirag Dharmavat. At the end of the program, Branch Secretary C.A. Rahul Maheshwari expressed gratitude to all the chartered accountants present.
