Roaring Delisting Mah rally – Departure for Tribal Youth of Udaipur from Rajasthan

Preparations have begun in Udaipur to serve meals to the guests, without worrying much about the rain but concern about getting stuck in traffic.

On Sunday, in response to the invitation from the Udaipur Tribal Security Forum of Rajasthan, the tribal brothers and sisters started their roaring chants in the early morning as part of the grand Delisting Mah rally. While the tribal brothers from Kota-Hadoti region departed for Udaipur before sunrise, vehicles of tribal brothers from other districts also began changing gears along with the sunrise. The strong wind and continuous rain could not hinder their steps. Meanwhile, the motherly power of the city also started preparing food packets for the arriving tribal brothers and relatives of Udaipur since morning. After 10 am, workers in Udaipur city and nearby villages began collecting food packets.

The enthusiasm of the tribal brothers to arrive in Udaipur was evident, and the motherly power preparing food packets in every household was also noticeable. Various delicacies, which were carefully prepared and inquired about in the neighborhood, were made. Some even included mangoes in the food packets. If the workers who were collecting the food packets did not arrive at the designated place, the mothers themselves went to deliver the packets to them.

Meanwhile, the group of tribal brothers who left from Kota visited the Sambharia Seth temple on the way and had breakfast there. From different regions, including Rajasmand, Salumbar, Dungarpur, and Pratapgarh, the tribal brothers continued their journey towards Udaipur, singing traditional songs, chanting slogans, and playing traditional musical instruments.

During this time, various organizations in Udaipur worked late into the night to put up flags and banners at intersections for the Delisting Rally. As soon as morning arrived, workers gathered at the Gandhi Ground and on the streets to decorate them with rangoli. The enthusiasm of the workers remained high despite the continuous rainfall.

It should be mentioned that after 1:30 PM, five processions of tribal brothers will leave from five different locations in Udaipur and converge at the Gandhi Ground through different routes. A grand assembly will take place there, where a demand for an amendment to Article 342 of the Constitution will be raised. The tribal community demands the removal of those individuals who have abandoned their ancestors' culture and faith and embraced other beliefs, thereby depriving them of the rights and benefits provided by the Constitution due to their tribal identity.

On the other hand, the Tribal Security Forum raised concerns with the district administration in the afternoon regarding the traffic congestion on the roads passing through Udaipur. They requested alternative routes to be made available for the buses carrying the arriving tribal brothers. The workers and officials of the Tribal Security Forum stated that the concern is not due to the rain caused by the storm but because of the traffic congestion.
