Udaipur: Kumudini Bharawa, a research scholar in the Department of Visual Arts at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree for her research on “Social Relevance of Art Events in the Contemporary Indian Art Scenario: A Critical Study.”
Bharawa completed her research under the guidance of Professor Hemant Dwivedi. The study critically examines various art events organised across India and analyses their impact and relevance for artists as well as the general public.
Kumudini Bharawa is herself a state-level award-winning artist and has been actively participating in various art events and programmes. Her research adds to the understanding of the social role and significance of art events in the contemporary Indian art landscape.
