Udaipur: A Wonderful Tourist Destination for Kids

Children, Udaipur is a beautiful city in Rajasthan, perfect for sightseeing. Surrounded by the Aravalli mountain range, this city is famous for its picturesque lakes. It is known as the "Kashmir of Rajasthan," the "City of Lakes," and the "Venice of the East." Tourists from across India and abroad visit Udaipur throughout the year.

There are many attractions for children to enjoy and learn from. The ropeway ride to Karni Mata and Neemach Mata temples offers breathtaking natural views. Kids also love camel and horse rides along the lake. The unique fountains at Saheliyon Ki Bari and the toy boats at Sukhadia Circle provide delightful water activities.

A boat ride on Fatehsagar Lake, leading to Nehru Garden, is an exciting experience. Moti Magri, with its Maharana Pratap Memorial, statues of Bhil warriors, and ancient palace ruins, provides historical insights. At Gulab Bagh, children can enjoy a toy train ride and explore the zoo.

Bagore Ki Haveli Museum displays a fascinating collection of turbans and over 500 puppets from different countries. City Palace features the mesmerizing glasswork of dancing peacocks and Maharana Pratap Chowk, connecting children with history. The collection of vintage cars and grand chandeliers at Fateh Prakash Palace are also remarkable sights.

The Folk Art Museum showcases traditional dancing puppets, while Shilpgram’s tribal museum offers insights into tribal life. Ahar Museum displays ancient archaeological artifacts, and nearby, the intricately designed royal cenotaphs add to the historical charm.

Sajjangarh, also known as the Monsoon Palace, is a thrilling destination. Perched on a hill, it offers a breathtaking view of the city. Even in summer, the cool breeze here is refreshing. At the foothill, the wildlife sanctuary allows visitors to see animals in their natural habitat.
