*Sur Sangam’s 37th National Youth Music Festival to be held in Jaipur on October 1–2*

The 37th National Youth Music Festival and National Singing Talent Competition-2026, organized by Sur Sangam to provide a national platform for emerging young musical talent from across the country, will be held on October 1 and 2 at Hotel Bilwa Palace on Tonk Road, Jaipur. More than 70 selected young talents from 10 states will showcase their vocal skills during this two-day national event. This year, the event is dedicated to the late K.C. Maloo, the founding president of the Sur Sangam organization. Governor Haribhau Bagde will present awards to the winning participants on the evening of October 2. Mukesh Agarwal, National General Secretary of Sur Sangam, stated that participants selected from various states will showcase their talent in genres ranging from classical and light music to folk music. The presence of renowned musicians and artists from across the country will be a major attraction for the young talents. *Padma Bhushan Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt to be the Chief Judge* He mentioned that a panel of distinguished figures from the music world has been constituted to evaluate the talents arriving in Jaipur from across the nation. Padma Bhushan Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt will serve as the chief judge. Joining him on the jury to evaluate the selected participants will be eminent musicians including Padma Shri Penaz Masani, Bollywood composer Deepak Pandit, classical singers Pratibha Baghel and Madhu Bhatt Tailang, composer Sameer Sen, and Bollywood singer Raja Hasan. *A two-day celebration of music, competition, and melody* The festival will be inaugurated on October 1 at 10:00 AM by Jhabar Singh Kharra, Rajasthan's Minister for Urban Development and Housing. Following the inauguration, singing competitions across various categories will commence. A light and folk music concert will be held starting at 6:00 PM, featuring diverse musical performances by selected artists. Competitions across various categories will commence at 10:30 AM on October 2nd. This will be followed at 4:30 PM by the ‘Surshree Round,’ where the competition's top performers will showcase their talent. The award distribution ceremony for the event will take place at 7:00 PM. *Rajasthan Patrika will present the ‘Milap Kothari Memorial Award’ (₹1 lakh) and the Nirmal Tara Sethia ‘Ratan Dhan Award’ (₹50,000), while Purnima Handicrafts will present the ‘Ganesh Rana Memorial Award’ (₹50,000).* Attractive prizes will be awarded to participants in this national-level competition. The top performer will receive the ‘Milap Kothari Memorial Award’ of ₹1 lakh, presented by Rajasthan Patrika.Additionally, four first-place prizes of ₹50,000 each will be awarded under the ‘Ratan Dhan Award’ category, sponsored by Nirmal Tara Sethia.
