Udaipur: Udaipur-born Tanay Agrawal is making his mark in the US software industry by developing artificial intelligence (AI)-based technology aimed at simplifying customer management and meeting preparation.
Agrawal co-founded Quivly with Chandrika Maheshwari. While Maheshwari serves as the company's Co-founder and CEO, Agrawal is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Quivly is working on AI technology designed to help customer-facing teams at software companies gather and understand critical customer information and prepare more effectively for upcoming meetings. The technology aims to reduce the time employees spend going through multiple dashboards, spreadsheets and historical records to build a complete picture of a customer.
Idea emerged from work experience
According to Agrawal, the idea for Quivly emerged from his experience working on billing and revenue-related systems. He observed that teams often had to undertake extensive preparation before meeting customers. Despite collecting information from multiple sources, they did not always have a complete view of the customer in one place.
This experience became the foundation for Quivly. As CTO, Agrawal's role focuses on bringing together information from different customer-related sources and using AI to turn it into actionable insights for teams.
Tracking changes in customer businesses
Quivly is designed to consider not only historical customer records but also significant developments within a customer's business. For instance, a change in a key executive at a client company can be important information for the team managing that account.
Such developments can be combined with previous conversations and information related to software usage, helping teams prepare more effectively for their next interaction with the customer.
AI aimed at strengthening customer relationships
Customer relationships continue well beyond the sale of software, involving onboarding, technical support, understanding changing requirements and preparing for contract renewals. By streamlining repetitive and time-consuming tasks through AI, technology such as Quivly aims to give customer-facing teams more time to focus on meaningful interactions and relationship-building.
Agrawal's journey also highlights the growing opportunities for young technology professionals from Udaipur to develop products for the global software market.
