Udaipur: The Mewar Tourism Cup 2025 began with thrilling matches on the opening day. In the first match, Hotel Parallel defeated Aurika by 4 wickets, while in the second match, Hotel Trident secured a 3-wicket victory against Hotel The Leela Palace.
Organized by Wooden Street, the first match saw Aurika Hotel setting a target of 150 runs in 20 overs after losing the toss. Mohammad Saad scored 42 runs, and Mukesh Singh contributed 21. From Hotel Parallel, Rahul took three wickets, while Sandeep Sharma and Tulsi claimed two each. In response, Hotel Parallel chased down the target in 19.2 overs, with OP Jangid remaining unbeaten at 66 runs and earning the Man of the Match title.
In the second match of the day, Hotel Trident defeated The Leela Palace by 3 wickets. Batting first, The Leela Palace scored 110 runs in 20 overs, with Hitesh contributing 27 runs and Bhavya Jain adding 23. From Hotel Trident, Harish and Arpit took three wickets each, while Ritesh Paliwal and Rohit Rawat secured two wickets each. In response, Hotel Trident chased the target in just 14.3 overs, with Harish scoring 25 runs and Ritesh Paliwal adding 22. Harish was named Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
The tournament follows an IPL-style format, with each team having custom-designed colorful jerseys. League matches will be followed by knockout rounds, culminating in the grand finale on April 6.
