Awareness Camp Organized on Social Justice Day

Sri Ganganagar: On the occasion of World Social Justice Day, as per the directions of the Hon'ble Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority Jaipur, a legal awareness camp was organized on 20th February 2025 at Lalgarh Jatan under the chairmanship of Shri Gajendra Singh Tenguriya (Additional District & Sessions Judge), Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Sri Ganganagar.

During the camp, ADJ Shri Tenguriya addressed the school students and informed them that World Social Justice Day is celebrated every year on 20th February. The purpose of observing this day is to promote equality and justice among all citizens. Regardless of a person's religion, gender, or caste, World Social Justice Day is celebrated to raise awareness about granting equal rights and addressing issues like social inequality, discrimination, unemployment, and human rights violations. Shri Tenguriya emphasized that a country truly develops when all its citizens are granted equal rights. The objective of World Social Justice Day is to highlight the importance of providing equal opportunities for people, enabling them to achieve social and economic progress in life.

Further, detailed information was provided about the free legal aid services, victim compensation, and financial assistance provided in case of accidents involving unidentified vehicles by the Legal Services Authority.

Subsequently, Mr. Rohitash Yadav, Chief of the Legal Aid Defense Council System, explained that the Authority offers free legal aid to economically weaker sections, women, and prisoners. He clarified that no charges are levied on the affected individuals or their families for this assistance. 

The event was also attended by Principal Mrs. Anshu Garg, Shri Rajesh Garg, Shri Surendra Jalandhra, Shri Pawan Garua, Shri Radheshyam Bajaj, and other distinguished attendees.
