Two-Day Conference on 'Emerging Technology and Innovation' Kicks Off at Pacific University

Pacific University is hosting a two-day conference on the topic of 'Emerging Technology and Innovation', organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science.

The Chief Guest, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor of MBM University, Jodhpur, and Bikaner Technical University, shared that today’s era is one of technology and innovation. To increase employment opportunities among the youth, we must integrate technology into education, adopt new technologies to tackle future challenges, and promote innovation for sustainable development.

The keynote speaker, Prof. Anupam Bhatnagar, emphasized that in today’s digital age, emerging technology and innovation are playing a vital role in the development of society and industries. Emerging technologies refer to new and advanced techniques that can be widely applied in the future. These technologies are bringing revolutionary changes across various sectors and making our lives easier. Proper use of emerging technologies and innovation can lead to significant transformations in education, healthcare, business, and environmental conservation. The distinguished guest, Group President of the University, Prof. B.P. Sharma, highlighted the importance of techno-nationalism, stating that we must develop technology according to the needs of the nation. In the future, these technologies will become more sophisticated and give rise to new opportunities.

Prof. Hemant Kothari, the President of the University, stated that this conference will provide researchers with a new platform, where innovations related to Artificial Intelligence, Automation, and Robotics could potentially bring about an industrial revolution globally.

Conference Secretary, Dr. Shankar Patel, shared details about the event, explaining that representatives from various countries will present their innovations and research papers through oral, poster, and online modes. The conference is being attended by 144 scientists and researchers from countries including the USA, Kuwait, Nepal, and India.
