Udaipur: The third season of the PIMS Mewar Cup is currently underway at the Field Club ground in Lake City, Udaipur. On Wednesday, PIMS Cricket Team and Liberty emerged victorious in their respective matches. This edition once again features international, national, and IPL players, who are thrilling the spectators with their remarkable performances. Following the success of the previous edition, this season’s tournament is being organized under the aegis of PIMS Hospital Umarda and Miraj Pipe & Fitting.
Organizers Naman Agarwal and Kuldeep Ameria informed that in the first T20 match played in the morning, PIMS Cricket Team posted a total of 189 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Kohan Kothari contributed 46 runs, while Mayank Dagar added 39 runs. Vishal Khokhar and Ashwin Das took three wickets each. In response, Adityam Real Estate was all out for 147 runs in 17.5 overs. Lalit Yadav and Karan Dave scored 27 and 26 runs, respectively. Ashwin Das was declared Man of the Match.
Organizers Chandrapal Singh Chundawat and Harshit Dhabhai shared that in the second match, Liberty set a challenging target, scoring 205 runs for 9 wickets in 17 overs. International cricketer and Indian team wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma played an explosive knock of 51 runs, while Yajash Sharma added 45 runs. Madhav Pathani delivered a stellar performance, taking six wickets. In response, GR Cricket Academy was bowled out for 119 runs. Praveen Kumar and Shubham Patwal contributed 22 and 16 runs, respectively. Madhav Pathani was awarded Man of the Match.
After the matches, a felicitation ceremony was held, where chief guests Azad Patel from Mangalam Developers and Kishan Singh Nakor from Shri Padmanath Properties honored the players.
Teams participating in the tournament include Liberty, PIMS, MPC, Delhi Challengers, Udaipur Lake City Warriors, Udaipur Cricket Academy, Adityam Real Estate, and GR Cricket Academy. The competition features international cricketers like Deepak Hooda, Rahul Chahar, Navdeep Saini, Ravi Bishnoi, Rajat Patidar, Yash Dhull, Suyash Prabhudessai, Ayush Badoni, Jitesh Sharma, and Ashutosh Sharma, who will showcase their skills on the field.
A lucky draw will be conducted daily, and on the final day, the winner will receive an electric scooter. The winning team will be awarded ₹5 lakh, while the runner-up will receive ₹3 lakh. The first six matches will take place at Field Club ground, while the semi-finals and final will be played at Miraj Cricket Stadium, Nathdwara.
