PIMS Mewar Cup Season 3: Delhi Challengers Clinch Title Amid Cheers and Enthusiasm

ifying final at Madan Paliwal Miraj Cricket Stadium. Amidst loud cheers, a flurry of sixes and fours, and an energetic atmosphere, Delhi Challengers emerged victorious, defeating Liberty by 20 runs to claim the championship.

Tournament organizers Naman Agrawal and Kuldeep Ameria shared that Delhi Challengers, batting first, scored 199 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Zubair Ali Khan played a sensational knock of 66 runs off 26 balls, while Kamran Irfan contributed 62 runs off 40 balls. Tejas Singh Baroka took 4 wickets, and Vineet Panwar claimed 3 wickets for Liberty.

Chasing the target, Liberty managed to score only 179 runs for 8 wickets. Despite notable performances from Hrithik Shokeen (53 runs off 40 balls) and Sairaj Patil (32 runs off 21 balls), the team fell short. Subodh Bhati and Harshit Maurya took 2 wickets each for Delhi Challengers. Zubair Ali Khan, with his eight sixes in his half-century knock, was awarded the Man of the Match.

From the evening, the stadium witnessed a massive turnout of cricket enthusiasts, with young fans and children eagerly awaiting glimpses of their favorite players. Fans, accustomed to watching these stars on television, were thrilled to see them perform live. Every shot was met with enthusiastic cheers, and Zubair’s explosive sixes and fours kept the audience on their feet.

At one point, Liberty, packed with star players, seemed poised to chase down the target effortlessly, but the disciplined bowling attack of Delhi Challengers turned the game around, restricting them 20 runs short of victory.

Organizers Chandrapal Singh Chundawat and Harshit Dhabhai stated that, in the post-match ceremony, Miraj Group Vice Chairman Mantraraj Paliwal and Gujarat Cricket Association Secretary Anil Patel presented the winner’s trophy and a cash prize of ₹5 lakh to Delhi Challengers, while Liberty received ₹3 lakh as runners-up.

Adding to the excitement, a lucky draw was conducted daily during the tournament, with winners receiving an electric scooter. The competition featured eight teams, including Liberty, PIMS, MPC, Delhi Challengers, Udaipur Lake City Warriors, Udaipur Cricket Academy, Aditayam Real Estate, and GR Cricket Academy.
