Udaipur: The seven-day special camp of the National Service Scheme (NSS) was inaugurated at the IPM Theater of Rajasthan Agricultural College, Udaipur, under Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology. The event’s chief guest, Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahla, the university’s Student Welfare Officer, officially launched the camp and provided the volunteers with valuable insights into various social welfare activities. He also encouraged students to actively participate in social service.
On this occasion, Dr. Rajendra Babu Dubey, the Dean of the college, addressed the students, highlighting the importance of the NSS camp and encouraging them to always be ready for national service and contribute to society’s welfare.
Dr. Harisingh Meena, in charge of the NSS, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Horticulture, mentioned that 45 students were participating in the camp. He explained that the seven-day program would involve various activities related to social life and that the students would organize different programs in local villages.
The event also saw the presence of Dr. S.S. Lakhawat, Assistant Dean of Student Welfare, Dr. Harisingh, Professor of Agricultural Economics, Dr. Ramesh Babu, Administrative Officer, and Heads of various departments, including Entomology. The program concluded with Dr. Ramesh Babu expressing gratitude and thanking all the participants for their involvement.
