Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka Assumes Charge as Vice-Chancellor of JNVU

Udaipur: Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, the Vice-Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, assumed the additional charge of Vice-Chancellor of Jai Narain Vyas University (JNVU), Jodhpur, on 11th February 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Vice-Chancellor’s office. Before entering the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat, he paid tribute to the former Chief Minister, the late Shri Jai Narain Vyas, after whom the university is named.

Dr. Karnataka was warmly welcomed at the office by the University Secretary, Finance Controller, other senior officials, faculty members, non-teaching and supporting staff, representatives from the University Pensioners’ Association, and the student union, who greeted him with bouquets and garlands. A large number of staff and students gathered to welcome Dr. Karnataka on his arrival at the university.

Later, Dr. Karnataka paid his respects to a portrait of Jai Narain Vyas and sought blessings. He met with all the Deans, Directors, Professors, Pensioners, and student representatives, gathering information about various activities of the university. He also paid tribute at the statue of Jai Narain Vyas and expressed his wishes for the continuous progress of the university.

It is worth noting that the Governor and Chancellor, Shri Haribhau Bagde, issued an order on Monday, 10th February, appointing Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka as the Vice-Chancellor of Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur.
