Vice-Chancellor Dr. Karnataka's Message: Always Remember What Our Parents Have Done for Us

Udaipur: The inter-college sports competitions affiliated with Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) concluded on Thursday with a prize distribution and recognition ceremony. The competitions, which took place from February 2 to 7, featured eleven different sports events, with approximately 400 student athletes from various colleges, including the College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology (CTAEE), Rajasthan Agricultural College (RCA), College of Community and Practical Sciences, Dairy & Food Technology College (all from Udaipur), as well as colleges from Dungarpur and Bhilwara.

Teams from CTAEE and RCA dominated most of the sports events. The winning players were awarded trophies, mementos, and certificates of appreciation. The ceremony witnessed great enthusiasm from the students, with slogans like 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Jab Tak Suraj Chand Rahega – RCA Tera Naam Rahega' echoing through the RCA Auditorium.

The chief guest of the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, emphasized that sports teach us the importance of time management, discipline, teamwork, and leadership. He further stated that every individual should read two books throughout their life: "What Did My Mother Do for Me?" and "What Did My Father Do for Me?" He mentioned that these books are not available in the market but are engraved in our minds. He encouraged students to reflect on these books daily to keep their morale high.

Special guests at the ceremony included MPUAT Registrar Mr. Sudhanshu Singh, RCA Dean Dr. R.B. Dubey, and Dean of Dairy & Food Technology College Dr. Lokesh Gupta. The event began with a report on the competitions by Dr. Manoj Mahla, Chairman of the University Sports Council. Also present were SOC members Dr. Arvind Verma, Dr. Sunil Joshi, Dr. R.A. Kaushik, Dr. Dhriti Solanki, Dr. R.L. Soni, Dr. V. Nepal, and University Sports Council Secretary Mr. Som Shekhar Vyas, along with sports coordinators Dr. Kapil Dev Ameta (RCA) and Dr. Vinod Yadav (CTAEE).

**Honoring Staff for Exceptional Service**

Dr. Latika Vyas, Dr. Rajesh Jalwania (Bhilwara), Mr. Parvat Singh Rathore, Mr. Dinesh Mali, Mrs. Durgabai, and Mr. Dalchand Gameti were honored for their exceptional service. Additionally, Dr. Hemu Rathore and Mr. Som Shekhar Vyas were also recognized.

**Students Awarded for Exceptional Achievements**

Students recognized for their outstanding performances included Mr. Anshul Sharma, Mr. Manvendra Singh, Mr. Khushwant Singh Rathore, Miss Rishika Purohit, Miss Simran Solanki (Bhilwara), Mr. Sachin Gurjar (Bhilwara), Vanshika Paliwal (Dungarpur), Mr. Ramdev Bhambi (Dungarpur), Mr. Anirudh Paliwal, Mr. Kavan Kumar, Mr. Anil Singh Shekhawat, and Mr. Kishan Rar.

- **Javelin Throw**: Nishakar Singh Meena and Arpita (Bhilwara).
- **Discus Throw**: Manish Bhambu and Arpita.
- **Long Jump**: Chotu Lal (Bhilwara) and Arpita.
- **High Jump**: Ravi Raj Sabl (Bhilwara) and Arpita.
- **Triple Jump**: Ramesh Chand Gurjar and Arpita.
- **Shot Put**: Manish Bhambu and Janhavi Maida (first place in both student categories).

- **100m and 200m Sprints**: Utkarsh Bagoria and Poorvi Dangi (Bhilwara) (First).
- **400m Sprint**: Pankaj Sharma and Arpita Salvi (Bhilwara).
- **800m Sprint**: Chotu Lal (Bhilwara) and Bulbul Malv.
- **1500m Sprint**: Narendra Kumar and Arpita (Bhilwara).
- **5000m Sprint**: Sunil Choudhary (first place).
- In the **4x100m Relay** (Mixed Team), Bhilwara team won the first place, while in the **4x400m Relay** (Men’s), Bhilwara was the winner, and the **Women’s Team** from Dungarpur secured the first position.
