Inauguration of 21st Non-Teaching Staff Vice-Chancellor's Vaijayanti Sports Competition

Udaipur, January 7. The 21st Non-Teaching Staff Vice-Chancellor's Vaijayanti Sports Competition began on Tuesday at the sports ground of the College of Technology and Engineering, Udaipur. Over 300 players are participating in the competition. The event is organized under the joint auspices of the Central Non-Teaching Staff Association and the Non-Teaching Staff Welfare Committee, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, and the College of Technology and Engineering. Teams from the Administrative Office, CTAE, Agricultural College, Directorate of Distance Education, Land Records Office, Dairy and Food Technology College, Community and Behavioral Sciences College, and CCPCL are participating. Teams from Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, RGYA Bhilwara, and Vallabhnagar are also part of the competition.

The inauguration ceremony was held by Dr. Lokesh Gupta, Dean of Dairy and Food Technology College, who declared the sports competition open. Dr. Gupta emphasized that sports help in learning life skills such as teamwork, leadership, accountability, ethics, and self-confidence. He highlighted that sports play an essential role in both physical and mental development and positively impact life, inspiring progress.

The welcoming speech was delivered by Rajnikant Sharma, President of the Central Non-Teaching Staff Association, while the presidential address was given by Prof. Anupam Bhatanagar, Dean of CTAE. The opening match, a volleyball game, was played between the Directorate of Distance Education and the joint team of CDFAT, CCAS, and CCPCL. Other competitions, including basketball, football, kabaddi, and indoor games, were also held.

Dr. Gupta conducted the flag hoisting and saluted the parade, officially declaring the competition open. Gitesh Jain, President of the Non-Teaching Staff Welfare Committee, presented the details of the competition. Narendra Kumar Mod, General Secretary of the Central Non-Teaching Staff Association, expressed thanks. Special guests at the event included Shri Sidhanshu Singh, Registrar, Shri Vinay Bhati, Financial Controller, Dr. R.L. Soni, Director of Distance Education, Dr. L.L. Panwar, Dean of Agricultural College, Bhilwara, Dr. Manoj Mehla, Student Welfare Officer, Dr. R.H. Meena, Examination Controller, Shri Anil Khinchi, Land Records Officer, Shri Karan Singh Shaktawat, Patron, Shri Govind Singh Rathod, Shri Sudhir Sadhvani, Shri Gopal Meena, Smt. Deepa Inoria, and Smt. Rashmi Dave.
