The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has appointed Dr. Ajeet Kumar Karnataka, Vice-Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, as a member of the core committee tasked with preparing a common curriculum and study list for various agricultural and related subjects for diploma and certificate programs in standalone institutions and agricultural universities, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) and the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF). The committee will submit its report to ICAR within two months.
It is noteworthy that under Dr. Karnataka's leadership, the university took a pioneering role in implementing NEP 2020 at MPUAT earlier this year, immediately after receiving the curriculum prepared by ICAR’s Sixth Dean Committee. Prior to this, Dr. Karnataka was also appointed by the Honorable Governor as a member of the regional committee tasked with preparing guidelines for implementing the provisions of NEP across all state-funded universities in Rajasthan. The university’s faculty members have expressed their full support for the Vice-Chancellor in fulfilling his responsibilities as a member of this prestigious national committee.
