IFA Scientists from Paris Have Special Discussion with Dr. Karnataka

Udaipur: Scientists from the International Fertilizer Association (IFA), Paris, including Ms. Laura Michelle Cross, Director, and Mr. Etienne Eckert, Agronomist Engineer/Data Analyst/Market Intelligence, visited Maharana Pratap Agricultural and Technology University (MPUAT), Udaipur. During their visit, the scientists had a discussion with Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka and gained insights into the university's activities in agricultural education, research, and extension.

Dr. Karnataka informed the guests that the university is driving significant agricultural progress in Southern Rajasthan through its 7 colleges, 2 regional research centers, 2 sub-regional research centers, 1 dryland research center, and 8 agricultural science centers. He also shared that under the Honorable Governor's 'Smart Village Initiative,' MPUAT has consistently secured the first position among all state-funded universities in Rajasthan and is committed to maintaining this position. In recognition of its efforts, the university received two letters of appreciation from the Governor's office in the past year. Dr. Karnataka further mentioned that the university is now working on adopting 5 villages to transform them into smart villages.

Dr. Vinod Saharan gave the foreign scientists a tour of the university's research farm, where they observed demonstrations on nano fertilizers and were briefed about the research on nano fertilizers, chitosan polymers, and biostimulants. 

During the visit, Dr. R.H. Meena, Soil Scientist, IFFCO President Dr. A.P. Singh, SM (AS), IFFCO Jaipur, Mr. Naveen Kumar Sain, FR (AS), IFFCO New Delhi, Mr. Mukesh Ametha, DFM, IFFCO Chittorgarh, along with university professors, researchers, and students were present. 

The visit began with Dr. A.P. Singh introducing the guests and explaining the purpose of the visit.
