Grandparents Day Celebration

 the College of Home Science and Family Studies at Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, organized a Grandparents Day event. The program began with students from the HDFS department welcoming their grandparents with traditional tilak ceremonies, with over 35 grandparents in attendance.

In her welcoming speech, Dr. Suman Audichya, the head of the department, likened grandparents to a banyan tree, under which the entire family experiences comfort and peace. She emphasized the important role of grandparents in the changing social environment, encouraging all to share their thoughts on how both new and old generations can beautifully nurture their relationships amidst societal changes. It was highlighted that children should receive abundant love from their grandparents while also passing down traditional values.

In today’s society, working parents often rely on grandparents, who play a crucial role in family strength, safety, and security. Various entertaining games were organized for the grandparents, which they thoroughly enjoyed. The event was attended by Mrs. Aruna Vyas, Mrs. Anjana Kumawat, and Mrs. Rekha Rathore, along with all PG students from the department. The digital coordination of the event was managed by Ravindra and Rajee.
