### Grandparents Day Celebrated at Maharana Pratap University

**Udaipur, - Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, celebrated Grandparents Day, organized by the College of Home Science and Family Studies. The event commenced with students from the HDFS department welcoming grandparents with a traditional tilak ceremony, with over 35 grandparents in attendance.

In her welcome address, Dr. Suman Audichya, Head of the Department, likened grandparents to a banyan tree, providing shade and peace to the entire family. Participants shared their thoughts on the evolving roles of grandparents in the changing social landscape, emphasizing how both new and old generations can beautifully maintain this relationship. They highlighted the importance of ensuring that children receive abundant love from their grandparents while preserving traditional values.

In today’s society, where both parents often work, grandparents play a crucial role in strengthening and securing family bonds. The event included several entertaining games for grandparents, who thoroughly enjoyed the activities. The program also saw participation from Mrs. Aruna Vyas, Mrs. Anjana Kumawat, and Mrs. Rekha Rathore, along with all the PG students from the department. The digital coordination of the event was managed by Ravindra and Raji.
