Udaipur : On the occasion of the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, a tribute program was organized on Monday at the Congress Media Center in the Rakshabandhan area under the leadership of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Spokesperson Pankaj Kumar Sharma. The day was observed as “Social Justice Day” and “Equality Day.”
The event began with lighting a lamp and garlanding the portrait of Babasaheb. Attendees pledged to uphold social harmony, unity, and the eradication of untouchability.
Speaking on the occasion, Pankaj Kumar Sharma said, “Dr. Ambedkar stands as a symbol of the fight for equality, education, and rights. His contribution to the upliftment of the underprivileged and oppressed is historic. His mantra – Educate, Organize, and Agitate – remains relevant even today.” He urged the youth to follow and promote Babasaheb’s ideology.
The program was attended by several senior Congress leaders and social activists, including Manohar Duppad, Narendra Sarraf, Radheshyam Mantri, Rajesh Sahu, Gajendra Agrawal, Sanjay Hangar, Manish Vaishnav, Mukesh Jat, and Kalu Lal Jain.
