Udaipur: The Green People Committee of Udaipur held a meeting under the chairmanship of Society President and retired CCF Rahul Bhatnagar. The meeting was attended by members Yaseen Pathan, Suhail Mazboor, S.N. Dave, P.S. Chundawat, Dr. Lalit Joshi, Arun Soni, and Dr. Satish Sharma, with special invitee Pawan Trivedi.
The committee decided to welcome two French delegations of 23 members each, arriving in Udaipur on March 31 and April 4, respectively. These delegations, consisting of retired senior individuals, will learn about the Green People Committee's activities and exchange ideas with senior members of the committee. The committee will introduce the French delegates to local customs and traditions.
The members also discussed organizing a meeting with the French delegations, presenting the committee’s work, and exchanging ideas. Furthermore, the committee plans to start its quarterly newsletter, with the first edition expected in the first week of April.
The committee also decided to identify CSR activities and incorporate more variety into its operations. Discussions included the tree plantation plan at Maharana Pratap Agricultural University’s Nawania Farm and Morvaniya Police Training Center. Additionally, the committee agreed to celebrate 12 more national and international days every month, adding to the existing annual festivals. A yearly calendar for these celebrations will be created to boost efforts in wildlife conservation, nature, and environmental protection.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Secretary Dr. Satish Sharma expressed gratitude and the meeting was adjourned.
