District Collector Listens to Public Grievances, Provides Immediate Solutions

Udaipur:  A monthly district-level public hearing was organized at the DOIT premises in the district collectorate under the leadership of District Collector Namit Mehta. A large number of petitioners attended the hearing, presenting their concerns before the district administration. Hitesh Kumar Soni, Assistant Director of Public Services, mentioned that a total of 100 cases were received during the hearing, with most being resolved on the spot. For the remaining cases, instructions were given to relevant departments to address them within the stipulated time frame and report back to the District Collector.

During the hearing, Collector Namit Mehta listened attentively to each petitioner and provided immediate directions to the concerned department officials. The hearing was attended by several key officials, including ADM Administration Deependra Singh Rathore, District Council CEO Riya Dabi, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ramprakash, Girwa Sub-Divisional Officer Sonika Kumari, and UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain.

**Immediate Directions on Critical Issues**  
Among the key issues raised was encroachment on the Bujhada Talab, for which the Collector ordered a swift investigation. Additional concerns related to UDA matters, minor forest produce, MGNREGA job cards, posting of authorized fare lists on rural transport buses, family pensions, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, police cases, and road construction were also addressed with instructions for prompt resolution.

**Positive Assurance for Petitioners**  
Some petitioners expressed dissatisfaction with the actions taken by subordinate offices previously. Collector Mehta listened to their grievances courteously and assured them of a fair resolution. His approach and quick decision-making process left petitioners satisfied. The public hearing strengthened the communication between the administration and the public, ensuring swift resolutions to people’s concerns.
