National Service Scheme Special Camp Inaugurated at Udaipur

Udaipur: The National Service Scheme (NSS) special camp organized by Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) and College of Technology and Engineering (CTAE) was inaugurated today. The event was graced by Dr. Sunil Joshi, Dean of CTAE, Udaipur, who addressed the volunteers and highlighted the importance of the camp. He encouraged students to aim for excellence in social service, starting from their hostel and college. Dr. Joshi emphasized the need to raise awareness about cleanliness and hygiene in hostels.

Dr. Pukhraj Sukhlecha, the special guest, mentioned Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago speech, stressing the importance of serving the nation. He inspired volunteers by stating that work done with a service-oriented mindset plays a key role in the upliftment of society and the nation.

Dr. Shekhawat shared detailed information about the seven-day camp and outlined the activities planned for the duration. These include cleanliness drives, awareness programs in rural areas, tree plantation, yoga and health activities, community participation programs, social awareness campaigns, and a blood donation camp. 

At the end of the event, Assistant Professor Vivek Meena expressed gratitude and wished the volunteers and guests success in making the camp a success. He encouraged the students to actively participate in all activities over the next seven days to understand the importance of community service and contribute to nation-building. The event was attended by NSS volunteers, program officers, and other university officials.
