Udaipur. Pankaj Kumar Sharma, General Secretary and Spokesperson of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee, described the central government’s budget as extremely disappointing, stating that it is completely disheartening for the common man, farmers, youth, and the middle class. He said that Rajasthan was entirely ignored in this budget. He further remarked that no concrete steps were taken for the betterment of farmers, nor were any effective plans made to create employment for the youth. The state expected special attention and investment from the central government for its development, so that the people of Rajasthan could benefit appropriately.
Sharma pointed out that unemployment is at its peak in Rajasthan, but the budget lacks plans for establishing new industries, promoting startups, or expanding technical education. He highlighted that Rajasthan is renowned globally for its culture and tourism, but the budget has no strategy to promote the tourism industry. If attention had been given to this sector, it could have created new job opportunities for millions of youth. Farmers, who have long been demanding loan waivers and legal guarantees for the Minimum Support Price (MSP), have been completely ignored by the central government.
Sharma concluded by saying that this budget clearly reflects that the insensitive policies of the central government are only benefiting its "friends" and are further widening the gap between the rich and the poor.
