MP Rawat Urges Update of DISHA Schemes

Udaipur, Member of Parliament Mannalal Rawat has written to Union Minister for Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan, requesting an update to the list of schemes under the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA). He highlighted that several old schemes have been discontinued, while many new schemes are operational but not included in the DISHA committee’s list.

MP Rawat stated in his letter that as per the revised guidelines issued on December 1, 2023, a total of 67 schemes from various ministries were included under DISHA. However, during the district-level meeting of the DISHA committee held in Salumber on January 15, 2025, it was noted that some schemes listed in the previous guidelines are no longer operational, while several active schemes are not included.

The discontinued schemes include Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission (SPSRM) and Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA). Meanwhile, active schemes missing from the list include PM Kisan, PM Kusum, National Horticulture Mission, PM SVANidhi, PM Shri Vidyalaya, PM Vani, PM Shram Yogi Maandhan, PM Surya Ghar Yojana, Matsya Sampada Yojana, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Stand Up India, Atal Pension Yojana, PM Employment Generation Scheme, and several others.

MP Rawat urged the Union Minister to update the list of schemes under DISHA to ensure the effective implementation of all relevant central government programs.
