Udaipur. MP Mannalal Rawat has written a letter to Union Minister for Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, requesting the updating of the list of schemes and programs under the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha). Many of the schemes that were previously included in the committee are no longer operational, while several current schemes are not included.
In his letter to the Union Minister, MP Rawat mentioned that under the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha), which was formed by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, a total of 67 schemes from various ministries and departments were included as per the revised guidelines dated 1st December 2023. However, during the district-level meeting of the Disha Committee held in Salumber on 15th January 2025, it was pointed out that some schemes that were included in the earlier guidelines are no longer operational, and some schemes currently in operation are not part of the Disha guidelines.
The schemes that are listed but no longer operational include the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission (SPSRM) under the Ministry of Rural Development and the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISH) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
The schemes that are currently operational but not included in the committee’s guidelines include:
- **Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare**: PM Kisan, PM Kusum, National Horticulture Mission, PM Swamitva Scheme
- **Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Dairying**: PPR Vaccination
- **Ministry of Education**: PM Shri Schools
- **Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology**: PM Vani
- **Ministry of Labour and Employment**: PM Shram Yogi Maandhan
- **Ministry of New and Renewable Energy**: PM Surya Ghar Yojana
- **Department of Fisheries**: Matsya Sampada Yojana
- **Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises**: PM Vishwakarma Yojana
- **Ministry of Banking and Finance**: Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Stand-Up India, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises, and Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Srijan Yojana
- **Ministry of Tribal Affairs**: Dharti Aaba Tribal Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan Yojana
In his letter, MP Rawat requested the updating of the schemes under the Disha Committee to ensure the effective implementation of the schemes currently being run by the central government.
