Homage Paid to Mahatma Gandhi and All Martyrs of Freedom Struggle

Udaipur: The death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, was observed as Martyrs' Day on Thursday. On this occasion, a tribute ceremony was held at the Collectorate premises.  

All officers and employees gathered in the garden located at the center of the Collectorate premises. Under the guidance of the District Collector, ADM (Administration) Deependra Singh Rathore, ADM (City) Warsingh, CEO of the District Council Hemendra Nagar, and ACEO Anjum Tahir Samma, along with all other officials and employees, paid floral tributes to Bapu's portrait and honored the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for India's freedom. Artists performed Bapu's favorite bhajan, "Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye Je Peer Parai Jaane Re..." along with other bhajans and Ramdhun. Afterward, two minutes of silence were observed as a mark of respect. The program was conducted by Dr. Devilal Garg.  

**District-wide Events Held**  
On Martyrs' Day, programs were held across the district following the prescribed protocol. All sub-divisions, tehsil headquarters, and schools paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Ramdhun and Bapu's favorite bhajans were sung and heard, and two minutes of silence were observed to honor the martyrs.  

**Oath for Leprosy Eradication and Flagging off Awareness Rath**  
During the program, ADM (Administration) Rathore took an oath from all personnel to make Udaipur district leprosy-free and to avoid any discrimination against leprosy patients. Afterward, he flagged off the leprosy awareness campaign Rath. Acting Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Ragini provided details about leprosy eradication activities.
