Gandhi: The Guiding Light of Our Nation - Pankaj Kumar Sharma

Udaipur: On the occasion of the 77th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, General Secretary and Spokesperson of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee, paid tribute to Gandhi Ji by offering flowers on his photograph at the Pratyush Bhawan in Sports Village. The event was observed as Martyrs' Day, and Gandhi Ji's thoughts and ideals were honored.

The program began with the members of the Mahatma Gandhi Life Philosophy Committee and Sharma lighting a lamp and offering floral tributes to the picture of Mahatma Gandhi. This was followed by a collective rendition of the Ramdhun and Gandhi Ji’s favorite bhajans. Afterward, the attendees observed two minutes of silence to remember Bapu.

In his speech, Pankaj Kumar Sharma stated that Mahatma Gandhi's entire life was based on the principles of truth and non-violence. He led a non-violent movement against British rule without the use of any weapons, playing a key role in India's struggle for independence.

Gandhi Ji firmly believed that non-violence was the most powerful weapon, through which any problem in the world could be solved. His thoughts are not only inspiring for India but for the entire world. Gandhi was not just an individual, but the soul of India, who lives in the hearts of every Indian.

He further emphasized that Gandhi Ji was a guiding light for our nation. His principles of truth, non-violence, and religious harmony will continue to guide our path. Martyrs' Day reminds every Indian of their duties and inspires them to fulfill their responsibilities toward the country.

On this occasion, many distinguished personalities such as Subhash Chittora, Ashok Tamboli, Umesh Sharma, Chataru Devas, Ashok Rao, Asha Jat, Mahendra Pal, Kehra Ram, Shalini, Kistura Ram, Hardeep Singh, Suman, Vikram, and others were present. All of them pledged to follow Gandhi Ji’s ideals.
