Awareness Campaign at Dehli Gate Crossing: Drivers Given Rose Flowers to Promote Road Safety

Udaipur: An awareness program was organized at the Dehli Gate crossing in Udaipur under the joint initiative of the Transport and Road Safety Department, Traffic Police, Aadhar Foundation, Nehru Yuva Kendra Udaipur, and Government Meera Girls College as part of the National Road Safety Month campaign. Volunteers at the crossing handed out rose flowers to vehicle drivers, urging them to follow traffic rules.

The chief guest, Traffic Sub-Inspector Ashok Anjana, emphasized the responsibility of citizens towards road safety and encouraged people to follow traffic rules and spread awareness among their family and friends. Traffic Inspector Sunil Charan highlighted the need for safe traffic practices and adherence to rules. Narayan Choudhary from Aadhar Foundation shed light on the role of social organizations in promoting road safety.

As part of this campaign, an awareness rally, workshops, competitions, and camps will be organized. Dr. Deepak Maheshwari, Principal of Government Meera Girls College, informed that the road safety awareness campaign will run from 17th to 23rd January, with 25 volunteers actively participating in traffic management and awareness activities. The campaign aims to encourage people to wear helmets, fasten seat belts, and respect traffic signals.

District Youth Officer Shubham Purbia welcomed the guests and spoke about the objectives of the campaign.
