Kathak Ashram Shines at Jaipur Youth Festival

The state-level Youth Festival was held from January 8 to 12 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. In this festival, the folk dance team of Kathak Ashram Udaipur, representing the city, secured the first runner-up position. The team included Priyanshi Joshi, Poorvi Agarwal, Pooja Choubisa, Anjali Choubisa, Nandini Nagda, Vedika Suhalka, and Bhumi Tanwar, who collectively won second place. Pooja Choubisa also represented Udaipur and secured second place in solo folk dance. The dance was presented under the guidance and leadership of Om Kumawat, Ramesh Nagda, and Chandrakala Chaudhary.

During the closing ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Bhajanlal Sharma, Youth Sports Board and Sports Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, State Minister Krishna Kumar Vaishnoi, and several dignitaries attended and enjoyed the performance. Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore praised the team’s performance and wished the children success. The children were awarded a cash prize of 2 lakh rupees, mementos, and certificates.
