Kanod Mitra Mandal, Udaipur Distributes 710 Sweaters in Kanod

Udaipur: In a continued effort to serve the community, the current executive committee of the Kanod Mitra Mandal, a friendship organization of residents from Kanod living in Udaipur, took the initiative to distribute sweaters to underprivileged students in rural government schools in and around Kanod city to protect them from the cold this winter. Sweaters were distributed to 710 needy students across 13 schools: R.P.V. Ward 15, Kesarpura, Reger Mohalla, Sanjay Colony, Karumdiya, Ward 10, Kudiya, Devalia, Akola, Achalana, Badlalifla, Kerpura, Chatur Madhyamik, and Kanod.

Dilip Kumar Bhanawat, President of Kanod Mitra Mandal, shared that the organization, the oldest in Udaipur, has been serving the community for the last 40 years. Along with organizing blood donation camps, medical health check-up camps, summer water supply arrangements, and yoga camps, the Mandal also provided financial assistance to district administrations during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, the executive committee took on the task of distributing sweaters as part of their ongoing commitment to human service.

Sanjay Alawat, General Secretary, stated that the Mandal chose to focus on their birthplace for this service initiative, and the full support of the executive committee and patrons was crucial in making it successful. The residents of Kanod in Udaipur contributed generously to this cause. During their visit to Kanod, the team also had the opportunity to observe the Pharmacy College and Skill Development Program at Jawahar Vidyapeeth, where Director Narendra Dhing extended his full cooperation.
