The Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur, has announced that the 41st Annual Honors Dedication Ceremony will take place on March 2, 2025, and will include awards for students.
Dr. Mayank Gupta, the coordinator for the Maharana Mewar Foundation’s Annual Honors Ceremony, stated today that applications are now being invited for the Bhama Shah Award, Maharana Raj Singh Award, and Maharana Fateh Singh Award. The deadline for submission is November 30, 2024. These prestigious awards will be presented by Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee of the Foundation, during the 41st Annual Maharana Mewar Foundation Honors Ceremony on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
Dr. Gupta explained that students can download the application form for these awards from the official website at this link. Completed forms can be submitted at the City Palace’s "Badi Pol" and "Sheetla Mata Gate" between 10 AM and 4 PM.
The student awards are categorized as follows:
Bhama Shah Award
This award will be given to students who have completed their Bachelor’s Degree or a Diploma equivalent at the undergraduate level in the academic year 2023-24. Bhama Shah, a legendary figure in Rajasthan, was known for his bravery and loyalty. Students from universities in Rajasthan, as well as those from other universities who are originally from Rajasthan, are eligible to apply.
Maharana Raj Singh Award
This award will recognize students from Udaipur-based universities and colleges who have excelled in sports or academic and co-curricular activities during the year 2023-24. Maharana Raj Singh, the 58th Diwan of Mewar, was known for his strong sense of pride and independence. He defied the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s orders and provided refuge to several saints, thereby displaying his commitment to dharma and justice.
Maharana Fateh Singh Award
This award will be given to students from Udaipur-based schools who have achieved excellent results in their 10th and 12th-grade examinations in 2023-24, as well as to those who have excelled in sports and other extracurricular activities during the same period. Maharana Fateh Singh, a personality of extraordinary talent and patriotism, was known for his dedication to promoting education and welfare. He contributed significantly to the development of educational institutions like Banaras Hindu University and Mayo College.
These awards are a tribute to the legacy of these great rulers and their dedication to education, valor, and public welfare.
